Bonnie-Lou Newson

GEORGETOWN - Bonnie-Lou Newson passed away on Saturday, Aug. 26, 2017. She was born in Dover on Mar. 4, 1939 to the late Cecil V. and Laura Mae (Carrow) Culver.
Bonnie-Lou was a homemaker, enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed taking care of her dogs, gardening and listening to country music.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Corbett. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Donald D. Newson; children, Donald II (Kathy) of Dagsboro, Donna Apgar (John) of Smyrna and Jeff (Cecilia) of Georgetown; sister, Carolyn Green, also of Georgetown; six grandchildren, Karen Berk, Cheri Hochstedler, Meggan Apgar, John Taylor Apgar, Ashley Collins and Brian Newson; seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Seth, Rory, Levi, Annabelle, Natalie and Malachi; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Short Funeral Services, 609 E. Market St., Georgetown, on Thursday, Aug. 31, 2017 at 2 p.m. A time of visitation will take place from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. Interment will be at Union Cemetery, Georgetown.
