CLAYTON - Bonnie Lee Mannering passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024.
Born on July 15, 1943, in Wilmington, DE, she spent much of her life surrounded by family living in Townsend, DE and later settled in Clayton, DE.
She graduated from Middletown High School in 1961 and went to work for International Playtex in 1962, where she stayed on board for 40 years. She then went to work for the State of Delaware Department of Transportation in 2004, retiring in 2010. In her younger years, she loved playing sports and traveling with family from state to state, and later in life, she greatly enjoyed being outdoors and tending to her lawn and her garden.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Emma Reynolds; and her stepfather, Allen T. Reynolds of Clayton, DE.
She is survived by her aunt, Gladys Mannering, with whom she resided. She will be greatly missed by her cousins Gail Fite of Smyrna, DE and Shelby Siwczak (Andrew) of Hamilton, NJ, as well as several other family members.
There will be a graveside service held at Townsend Cemetery on Caldwell Corner Road in Townsend, DE on Friday, March 1st at 1pm.
