MILFORD - Bonnie L. Pritchett, age 84, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was born Jan. 4, 1927, oldest of 6 children to the Lane family. She was married for 50 years to William Pritchett, who passed away in 1996. She attended night classes at the University of Delaware, and worked as a Teacher Assistant in Dover and Milford Schools for 24 years. She enjoyed the children, teachers and parents. She and her husband also operated the Mispillion Marina for 20 years from 1976 to 1996. Bonnie enjoyed home making, handy-work of all kinds, knitting, crochet, basket making, china painting, quilting, cooking, gardening, cutting grass, flowers, just enjoyed life in all areas. Bonnie designed and made the "Lady Bug", now the Delaware State bug; on display at Dover Public Archives. She was a member of Independent Bible Fellowship Church, Harrington. She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Nunnery of Athens, Tenn., and Vickie Pritchett of Milford; one granddaughter, Mandy Carter, and her family as well as three sisters. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 28, at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church, 6797 Milford - Harrington Highway, Harrington where friends may call from 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
