Millsboro - Bonnie J. Mawson formerly of Wilmington passed away Monday, October 12, 2015 at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes. Bonnie was born in Philadelphia, PA daughter of the late, Joseph Thompson and Eleanor May Thompson Siess. She was a real estate secretary for Omni Real Estate in Wilmington, DE, retiring after 25 years of service. She loved spending time with her kids and animals. She also enjoyed the beach. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Don Ira Mawson. She is survived by her son, Jay (Alisa) Mawson of Laurel, DE; two daughters, Dawn Mawson of Millsboro, DE and Donna (Ron) Stewart of Cape Coral, FL; two brothers, Robert (Betty) Thompson of Hyattsville, MD and Russell (Bonnie) Thompson of Birdsboro, PA; her sister, Suzanne Cutter of Lewes, DE; three grandchildren, Matthew Gannon, Jessie Huss and Zachary Mawson and a great grandson, Landon Arroyo. A memorial service will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Long Neck Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 32013 Long Neck Rd., Millsboro, DE, where friends and family may visit after 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
