Billy Joe Sharp, 67
DOVER - Billy Joe Sharp of Dover died Aug. 28, 2007, at home. He was 67.
He was born in Camden, Ark., to the late Gaston and Hester Sharp.
Mr. Sharp graduated from Harmony Grove High School in Camden in 1957.
Mr. Sharp served his country proudly in the National Guard Reserves, and in the U.S. Air Force where he worked on aircraft and was an aircraft painter.
He worked in civil service for the Dover Air Force Base for the past 33 years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching television.
Mr. Sharp enjoyed planting a garden every year and supplying his family with tomatoes and other vegetables.
He kept a nice flower garden for his wife where he planted many marigolds.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Jeanette Cook and Rose Livingston.
He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Patricia Sharp; his sons, Steven Sharp, Terry Sharp, and David Sharp; his brothers, James Sharp, all of Dover, Michael Sharp, and Bobby Sharp; his sister, Linda Sharp, all of Arkansas; and one grandchild, Eric Sharp.
Funeral services will be 12:30 p.m., Friday in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Highway, Harrington, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Interment will be Delaware Veterans Cemetery South, Millsboro.
