Betty R. O'Day

SEAFORD - Betty R. O'Day, age 80, of Seaford, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. She was born on April 28, 1935 in Georgetown, daughter of the late Robert and Hazel (Tucker) Russell. In her younger years, Mrs. O'Day enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, solving puzzles and traveling. In addition to her parents, Mrs. O'Day was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin; and her grandson, Charles A. Moore in 1992. She is survived by her 3 sons, Robert C. O'Day and his wife Sarah of Kalamazoo, Mich.; Douglas C. O'Day and his wife Jenn of Dover; Roger W. O'Day and his wife Deborah of Wade, N.C.; her two daughters, Donna O. Moore and her husband Charles of Greenwood; Pamela O. Colbourne and her husband Gary of Secretary, Md.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; "Mom Mom" to six and two sisters, Lola Ward of Reno, Nev. and Kay Peterson and her husband Charles of Bridgeville. A Graveside service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 1 p.m. at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood. Arrangements by Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Bridgeville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA, 22918 DuPont Blvd., Georgetown, DE 19947 or to an animal shelter of your choice.
