Bette Arlene Plummer

Plummer, 80 GREENWOOD - Bette Arlene Plummer, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Genesis of Seaford. Bette was born on January 5, 1932, in Chester County, Pa. to Lawrence and Lorena Ross, of Kennett Square, Pa. She worked as a supervisor all of her life in the textile industry. She was a hard working lady, retiring at age 73 due to health issues. Bette was an avid sports fan, her favorite teams were the Philadelphia Phillies, the Eagles, and the Flyers. Her best friend was her Chesapeake Bay Retriever, 'T.O. Wide Retriever', named after Terrell Owens her favorite player. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Plummer; and a brother, Alan Ross. She is survived by six children, Irene Fraumane and husband Tom, of Broadalbin, N.Y., Beverly Bush and friend Steve, of Johnstown, N.Y., Lois Fura and husband Ed, of Hageman, N.Y., Ralph Plummer, of Greenwood with whom she lived with and was her caregiver, Edward Plummer of Galestown, Md., Richard Plummer of Quakertown, Pa.; several grandchildren; and great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012, at Fleischauer Funeral Home, 16 W. Market St., Greenwood, DE 19950. Friends may call one hour prior to funeral. Interment service will be held at St. Johnstown Cemetery, Greenwood.
