Bertha 'Grandmom Bert' Ward, 99
SEAFORD - Bertha "Grandmom Bert" Ward of Seaford departed this life Saturday, Feb. 3, 2007, in Genesis Eldercare, Seaford. She was 99.
She was born Aug. 31, 1907, in Lewes, daughter of the late Fred and Georgeanna Stockley.
Mrs. Ward resided in Wilmington for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Wilson Ward; a grandson, Samuel Eugene Ward; and several sisters and brothers.
She is survived by a son, Frankie Ward of New Castle; a daughter-in-law, Anna Ward of Lewes; a grandson and his wife, James and Gwen Seymoure of Plainfield, N.J.; two granddaughters and their husbands, Anna "Pat" and Ralph "Butch" Lee of Bridgeville and Terry and William Frasier of Lincoln; 12 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. today in Middleford Cemetery, Seaford.
