Beatrice Jane McCann, 80
CRUMPTON, Md. - Beatrice Jane McCann, of Crumpton, died Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2007, in the Chester River Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Chestertown. She was 80.
Mrs. McCann was born March 20, 1927, in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late Anna Saldutti.
She worked as a court clerk for the Delaware County Courthouse in Pennsylvania and retired in 1989.
Mrs. McCann was a member of the Republican Party in Queen Anne"s and Delaware counties.
She enjoyed gardening, quilting and crafts.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCann was preceded in death by her husband, Frank D. McCann in 2003; one son, Richard F. McCann; and one brother, Paul Allen.
She is survived by one daughter, Linda M. Reed of Crumpton; one son, Stephen D. McCann and wife Catherine, of Broomall, Pa.; one sister, Rose Marie Heritage of Upper Darby, Pa.; five grandchildren, Kelly Monahan of Glenmoore, Pa., Stephen McCann Jr. of Broomall, and Mark Reed, Tracy Reed and Megan Reed, all of Crumpton.
A Catholic Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday in St. Dennis Roman Catholic Church in Galena.
A visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday in the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, 370 W. Cypress St., Millington.
