Barry Wayne Fuchs, 64 MILLINGTON, Md. - In the early morning of December 20th, 2009, Barry Wayne Fuchs died peacefully at his home on Open Acres Farm. His parents, the late William Henry Fuchs, who died on Sept. 16, 1994, and the late Pearl Kathleen Penn Fuchs, who died on Jan. 8, 1988, also died at home on the farm. Barry was born in the European country of England on Oct. 29, 1945. During his childhood years, he attended Mill Neck Manor School for the Deaf in Mill Neck, N.Y. He graduated from Galena High School in 1964. Barry was a dairy and grain farmer all of his life and felt most at ease on the skid loader or on the tractor. He was a notable waterfowl carver of the Eastern Shore area. Barry enjoyed carving, hunting and just sitting quietly watching the ducks, geese and deer. Barry is survived by a sister, Beverly Lynn Fuchs of Joppa; a brother, William (Buddy) Penn Fuchs and his wife Deborah Parris Price Fuchs of Millington; one nephew, Parris Trevor Fuchs, Sr. and his wife Monica Lynn McDowell Fuchs of Millington; and a niece, Heidi Ann Fuchs of Barclay. Also surviving Barry are two great-nephews, Matthew Grant Perry and Parris Trevor Fuchs, Jr.; and one great-niece, Tess Lynn Fuchs. Before Barry's death he found much comfort in his Holy Bible, he discovered and established a wonderful testament to the Lord. Services for Barry will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 23, at the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St., Galena, where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Yvonne Paxton will officiate. Pallbearers will be Buddy Fuchs, Trevor Fuchs, Sr., Grant Perry, Tim Kohl, Jimmy Kohl and Jimmy Miller. Private burial will follow where Barry will be laid to rest beside his parents, at the Crumpton Cemetery, Crumpton.
