Barbara Y. Swartzentruber, 89

HARTLY - Barbara Y. Swartzentruber of Hartly died Monday, April 30, 2007, in her home. She was 89.

Mrs. Swartzentruber was born Aug. 18, 1917, in Lawrence County, Pa., daughter of the late Yost D. and Amanda (Byler) Mast.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eli N. Swartzentruber, in 1995; five sisters; a brother; a grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by five children and their spouses, Henry and Gertrude Swartzentruber, Lydia and Ezra Yoder, Amanda and William Byler, all of Hartly; Esther and Paul Miller, Norman and Sylvia Swartzentruber both of Dover; a brother, Daniel and his wife, Sadie of Granton, Wisc.; a sister-in-law, Mary Swartzentruber of Dover; three brothers-in-law, Andy Miller of Dover, Enos Miller of Miffinburg, Pa., Lewis Swartzentruber of Aylmer, Canada; 38 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the home, 1950 Pearsons Corner Road, Hartly.

Services will be 9 a.m. Thursday in the residence of John Miller, 2781 Yoder Drive, Dover.

Burial will be in the Amish Cemetery, Dover.

Arrangements by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
