Barbara L. Bordley

Camden - Barbara L. Bordley went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, in Silver Lake Nursing Home.
Barbara was born Feb. 6, 1930, in Greensboro to the late, James and Cora (Patterson) Bordley. She had a career of 42 years as a school teacher, teaching in the Seaford, Bridgeville, and mostly in the Caesar Rodney School District, retiring in 1998.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, James Bordley, Jr., Dennis Bordley, Carolyn Pleasanton, Christine Meade, Harvey Bordley and George Bordley.
Barbara is survived by her two sisters, Sarah Bordley, of Dover and Ernestine Bordley Collins and her husband, James, of Camden; her sister-in-laws, Shirley Bordley, of Camden, Phyllis Bordley and Janice Bordley, both of Dover; an aunt, Gertrude Bordley, of Camden; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
A Home Going Service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Oct. 2, 2017, in Mount Zion A.M.E. Church, Fulton and Queen Sts., Dover; where family and friends may view two hours before. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
