CHESTERTOWN, Md. - B. Elizabeth Green of Chestertown died Monday, Aug. 20, 2007, in The Arbors, New Castle, Del. She was 89.
Mrs. Green was born July 29, 1918, in Centreville, one of 14 children born to the late Clarence and Addie (Biddle) Morris. She was raised near Church Hill.
In 1937, she married Joseph Green Sr., and moved to Millington. In 1969 they moved to Chestertown.
In Chestertown, Mrs. Green worked for Baltimore Business Forms for 21 years, retiring in 1981.
She enjoyed sewing and her parrot, Pete.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Joseph S. Green Sr.; seven brothers, Clyde, James, Joe, Lewis, William, Frank and Walter; and a sister, Mary Brown.
Mrs. Green is survived by her sons, Joseph Green Jr. and his wife Rozel of Farmersville, Texas, and Edward Green and his wife Connie of New Castle; a brother, Robert Morris of Centreville; four sisters, Elva Jane Morris of Elkton, Anna Mae Morris and Addie Morris, both of Chestertown, and Evelyn Roe of Sudlersville; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L. Schaech, 118 W. Cross St.
