Audrey Jane Gormley, 75

MILLSBORO - Audrey Jane Gormley of Millsboro died Monday, April 30, 2007, in the home of her son, Kevin M. Gormley of Smyrna. She was 75.

Mrs. Gormley was born Jan. 21, 1932, in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Hugh Sanford Disbrow and Lillian Sullivan Disbrow.

Mrs. Gormley worked as a cafeteria nutrition provider for the Colonial School District in New Castle.

Before moving to Millsboro, Mrs. Gormley was active in the New Castle-area senior centers, and her hobbies included needlepoint and watching game shows.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Gormley, in 2005; a brother, Jay Wesley Disbrow; and a sister, Charlotte Cameron.

In addition to her son, Kevin, she is survived by her son, David A. Gormley of Rocky Mount, N.C.; a daughter, Karen M. Gower of Wilmington; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and her dear friend, Nancy Petrilla with whom she lived in Millsboro.

Memorial services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 100 West 10th St., Suite 1002 Wilmington, DE 19801; or to Green Valley Terrace, 231 S. Washington St., Millsboro, DE 19966.
