Arnold W. Reeves

HARTLY - Arnold W. Reeves passed away March 8, 2011, in Kent General Hospital. He was 73. Arnold was born on Nov. 18, 1937, in Humbert, Pa., son of the late Henry and Lita (Pope) Reeves. He served his country proudly in the U.S. Air Force for 30 years retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant. He was an avid supporter of the Haunted Chicken House, Hartly, which contributes to the Kelly J. Fritchman Cystic Fibrosis Swimming Scholarship for the University of Delaware and the Hartly Fire Department. Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Shizuko Reeves in March 1995. He is survived by four sisters, Rita Heinlein, Mary Mitchell, Jane Cornn, Fay Waters, all of Pennsylvania; a brother, Richard Reeves of Ohio; and neighbors, Sam Moore and his wife Catherine, who looked after him. A committal service with full military honors will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, March 29, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
