Arnetta J. Brooks went home to be with the Lord on March 14, 2023. Arnetta was born July 26, 1945 to the late Ruth and Herbert Quail in Felton Delaware. She had 19 brothers and sisters, all deceased except one, Dorothy Morris, of Florida.
Arnetta had been married to her husband James Brooks, Sr. for fifty four years. In addition, she leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Victoria Marcus, of Bethleham, Georgia, Tonya Boddie of Lancaster, California; and son, James Brooks, Jr. of Dover, Delaware. She also leaves seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews; as well as, grand nieces and nephews. Arnetta loved each and every one of them. She also loved her long time friends, Paulette Fuller of Chester, Pennsylvania, Mary Washington of Goldsboro, North Carolina, Margret Bell of Dover, Delaware, and Doris Palmer of Felton, Delaware.
While her husband was stationed in South Dakota, Arnetta worked at Control Data as an assembler for five years. She later worked at Howmet Corp in Hampton, Virginia. Arnetta had an unusual love of people; and loved working in her yard racking and decorating, making things look just right with a special emphasis on her bay window. Arnetta was a very strong Christian; her faith kept her going in good and challenging times. Her faith in God kept her grounded, as she was proud that her children had accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
A funeral service will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 24, 2023 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934 where friends may visit with the family from 9:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. Friday. Burial will follow in Sharon Hills Memorial Park, Dover.
