Anthony E. 'Tony' Malinowski, 84
FRANKFORD - Anthony "Tony" E. Malinowski, of Frankford, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2007, at Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. He was 84.
Mr. Malinowski was born in Shenandoah, Pa., son of the late Benedict and Sally (Dulka) Malinowski.
He was a certified dental technician with Smith Dental Lab, Baltimore, retiring after 40 years of service. He also worked as a gardener for the Cripple Creek Golf and Country Club, Dagsboro, for 18 years.
Mr. Malinowski was a decorated veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II as a private first class with the 11th Infantry from April 1943 to February 1946.
He attended the Dagsboro Gospel Fellowship Church and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7234 of Quillens Point in Ocean View.
Mr. Malinowski also loved to fish.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Albert Malinowski; and sister, Victoria Zarcufsky.
He is survived by loving wife of 34 years, Phyllis (Fox) Malinowski; six children, Patricia Sontag, Susan Shoffner, Stephen Marchak, Michael Marchak, Mary Marchak and Jennifer Leasure; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at the chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Thatcher Street, Frankford, where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday
Interment will be at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery South, Millsboro.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in Anthony's memory to the American Cancer Society, Sussex County Unit, P.O. Box 163, Salisbury, MD. 21805.
