Annie L. Leager

Smyrna - Annie L. Leager passed away on Thurs., May 8, 2014 at Pinnacle Rehabilitation & Health Center. Ms. Leager was born on Sept. 16, 1928 in Sudlersville, Md. daughter of the late Nathaniel C. Leager and Ethel Virginia (Holden) Leager. Ms. Leager lived on her family farm until she moved to Smyrna, Del. for most of her adult life where she worked as a waitress at the Wagon Wheel Restaurant. She survived by her daughter, Thelma Jean Leager of Dover, Del. and sisters, Ethel May Shorts, Elizabeth Hay, Betty Ervin, Doris Schelts, Julia Marshall, and Helen Whaley. A memorial service will be held at the Holden Chapel Church at 1011 Peters Corner Road, Sudlersville, Md., 21668, Sat., April 11, 2015, at 11 a.m. Memorial funds for Annie Leager can be sent to Kenny Embert, in care of Holden Chapel Church, 1126 Dudley Corner Road, Millington, MD 21651.
