DOVER - Annette J. Daniel died peacefully with her family by her side on Jan. 21, 2014 at Bayhealth Medical Center in Dover. Born in Lyndhurst, N.J., she was the daughter of the late Carmine and Antoinetta (Monaco) Savino. Annette obtained a Masters degree from N.Y. University in elementary and secodary education, a Masters Degree from University of Maryland in Speech Therapy and was a Speech Therapist in the Arlington County area schools. She was a member of Holy Cross Church in Dover. Mrs. Daniel was fond of cats and was known for taking care of strays. She was also fond of gourmet cooking, but in her quieter moments she cherished the time spent with her family. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, Sidney Daniel. She is survived by her loving children, daughter, Kimberly J. Daniel and husband, Steve Donock, of Falls Church, Va.; and son, Paul J. Daniel and wife, Colleen, of Dover; two grandchildren, Maureen and Ryan Furia, of Miami, Fla., and Justin and Hollie Daniel, of Aldie, Va.; along with three great-grandchildren. A Viewing will be held on Monday, Jan. 27, 2014 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home of Michael J. Ambruso, 1175 S. State St., Dover. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014 at 12 noon, at Holy Cross Church, 631 S. State St., Dover. Interment will be in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory be made to The Good Samaritans, 631 S. State St., Dover, DE, 19901 or to The Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011. Condolences may be forwarded and Guest Book signed via www.ambruso.com
