Anne M. Lingo, 85

GREENWOOD - Anne M. Lingo of Greenwood died Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007, in Country Rest Home, Greenwood. She was 85.

Mrs. Lingo was born Nov. 2, 1921, in Milford, daughter of the late William R. Murphy and Matilda (Anderson) Murphy.

She was a graduate of Milford High School and a graduate of Goldey Beacom Business School.

She briefly worked for the Department of Motor Vehicles, Dover.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Murphy; a sister, Eileen Harrington; and a daughter-in-law, Wanda Lingo.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert D. Lingo Jr.; a son, Robert Lingo III; a daughter and a son-in-law, Donna and Eric Rauch; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front St., Milford, where friends may call one hour earlier.

Burial will be in Milford Community Cemetery.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to First Presbyterian Church of Milford, 101 S. Walnut St., Milford, DE 19963.
