Anna Smaniotto Gardner

Anna Smaniotto Gardner, 85

MILFORD - Anna Smaniotto Gardner, of Milford, passed away suddenly on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2008, at her home in Milford. She was 85.

Anna was born in Philadelphia, raised in Newfield, N.J. and was a longtime resident of Bridgeton, N.J., prior to moving to Milford, in 1984.

She was the daughter of the late Elizabeth (McDonald) and William H. Gardner.

Before retiring with 39 years of service, Anna was employed as a crew leader at the Owens-Illinois Glass Co., Bridgeton.

She was a member of the Oinize Club, G.D.D.A.W. Local Union 239, Milford Senior Center and the Cedar Neck Church, Slaughter Beach, where she also served as organist.

Anna enjoyed entertaining family and friends with her fancy dinners, crocheting, painting, especially china and pictures and tending to her garden and flowers.

Anna is remembered by all as a classy lady, nicely dressed and perfect in all ways.

She is survived by one daughter, Jean Toscano; one son, John (Gian) Smaniotto; two grandchildren, Becky Sheppard and Philip and wife Kris Osborne; one greatgranddaughter, Jennifer Heulings; one great-great-granddaughter, Elizabeth; two sisters, Dorothy Green, and Lillian Richmond; a brother-in-law, Anthony Olivio; and as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted on Wednesday in the Pancoast Funeral Home, 676 S. Main Road, Vineland, N.J.

A memorial funeral service will be conducted at a time to be announced in the Cedar Neck Church, Slaughter Beach.

Burial will be private in the Piney Hollow United Methodist Church Cemetery.
