Anna Maude Register, 86 CAMDEN -- Anna Maude Register, 86, of Camden, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2008, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 30, 1921, in Milford, daughter of the late William and Sara (Sharp) Truitt. Mrs. Register worked as a clerk for Pierce's Pharmacy and also was a realtor for Spence Realty. She enjoyed her later years as a housewife and mother. Her hobbies included antiquing and going to auctions and doing needlepoint. She did volunteer work with Bayhealth for many years, was an Alochol Anonymous mentor and also helped with church dinners at St. Paul's many years ago. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Caleb Jackson Register; and a son, Gary J. Register. She is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. Thomas and her husband Merle of Delaware; a son, Kevin L. Register and his companion and best friend Kathleen Forsman of Hartly; grandchildren, Brent A. Thomas and his wife Sacha Thomas of Birmingham, Ala., Shane R. Thomas and his wife Connie Thomas of Newport News, Va., Dylon J. Register and Phobe A. Register, their mother Rhonda F. Register, and Alyssa Forsman; great-grandchildren, Hailey R. Thomas, Jackson Reece Thomas and Chase Allan Thomas; nieces, Judith B. Spence and Sally J. Rigby; a nephew, Arthur V. Register; and caretakers, best friends and mentors, Stella McGinnis, Debbie Howard and Barbara Campbell. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Delaware Hospice, 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901; or Southside Baptist Church, 4904 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
