Anna Mae Johnson

LEWES - Anna Mae Johnson, 90, of Lewes, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Harbor Healthcare. She was born on November 23, 1924 to the late Lawrence Fournie and Linda (Daubach) Fournie in Belleville, Illinois. Anna Mae was a retired secretary with the Chrysler Company, where she worked for 20 years. She has been a Lewes resident since 1987, when she moved from northern Virginia. She loved to read and was a weekly participant in a card club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lawrence Dean Johnson. Anna Mae is survived by her loving companion, Kenneth E. Spaid; five children, Cheryl Ann Burgess and her husband Jim of Chestertown, Maryland, Susan D. and the late Randy Keller of Bealeton,Virginia, Jay Johnson of Woodbridge, Virginia, Alan S. Johnson and wife Anna Claire of Hanover, Maryland and Todd M. Johnson and his wife Anna of Burke, Virginia; one brother Lawrence Fournie of Belleville, Illinois; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A mass of Christian burial will be 1 p.m., Friday, January 16, 2015 at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 152 Tulip Drive, Lewes, where friends may call from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be at Henlopen Memorial Park, Milton. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to: St. Jude's Catholic Church 152 Tulip Dr., Lewes, DE. Arrangements handled by Short Funeral Services, Milton, DE 19968.
