Anna Estok Adam

Anna Estok Adam, 95 TEMPLEVILLE, Md. - Anna Estok Adam, 95, of Templeville, died Thursday, March 18, 2010, at Bayhealth Medical, Dover. Born in Hungary, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Elizabeth Gal Estok. Mrs. Adam had moved to the United States in 1936 and had resided in New York and Perth Amboy, N.J., prior to moving to Templeville in 1977. She had been a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. In Her quieter moments she enjoyed gardening. A kind and gentle woman, Mrs. Adam will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Louis Adam, who died in 1978. Mrs. Adam is survived by her son, Louis R. and his wife Valerie of Stroudsburg, Pa.; and her daughter, Victoria Hynson and her husband Thomas of Templeville; four grandchildren, Lee R. Adam, Chris Adam, Anna R. Adam and Melissa Cain; and five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Stephen Estok of Hungary along with several nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at noon at the Immaculate Conception Church, Marydel, Md., where friends may call starting at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the Templeville Cemetery. Donations may be made in her memory to the Immaculate Conception Church Marydel, MD 21649, or to the Queen Annes Hospice Center, 255 Comet Dr., Centerville, MD 21617. Arrangements are by Michael J. Ambruso Funeral Director, Inc. Dover. Condolences and Guest Book signings may be made via www.ambruso.com.
