DOVER - Ann R. Kemmerle passed away peacefully on April 13, 2018 at Kent General Hospital surrounded by her family. Ann, the child of the late Charles and Irene Reim was born on March 18, 1952 in Garfield, N.J.
Ann, a dedicated special education teacher for 30 years, who attended Douglas College and Patterson State University, was extremely involved with the Osher Life Long Learning Institute through the University of Delaware. Ann, though she had constraints on her time, was the first to volunteer her time or be on a committee striving to help her colleagues and the community at large. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, sketching and painting, writing poetry, camping, and traveling the United States. She also enjoyed crosswords, Sudoku puzzles and watching Lifetime movies with her daughter.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Stephen; children, Charlene, Kevin (Rachel) and Jenna; a special cousin, Joan Cardile; extended family and friends.
Visitation for Ann will take place Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. (with an evening Vigil) and Thursday from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Mass of Christian Burial is Thursday 12 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
Memorials may be made to Osher Life Long Learning Institute.
