SMYRNA - Ann Farrow, of Smyrna, died Friday, May 15, at Christiana Hospital, Newark. She was 69. Mrs. Farrow was born Aug. 30, 1939, in Milford, to the late Raymond Welch Sr. and Margaret Jarrell Welch. She was a homemaker and enjoyed playing scrabble and dominoes and ballroom dancing. She was chairman of Old Dover Days for many years and a member of The Dover Historical Society. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Farrow in 1999. She is survived by her sisters, Delores W. Evans of Dagsboro, and Clara Todd and her husband Morton of Dover; brothers, Raymond Welch, Jr. and his wife Janice of St. Augustine, Fla., and Warren R. Welch of Harrington; and her aunt, Matilda Evans of Dover. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday May 20, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road. Friends may call Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in St. Anne's Cemetery, Middletown. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to a charity of one's choice. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
