Angel Dawn Taraila

Angel Dawn Parks-Taraila of Hartly, DE, passed away unexpectedly at home from a heart attack due to complications from diabetes on Thursday, October 10.
Born on January 7, 1972, in Wilmington, DE, Angel loved to take photographs and was an avid scrapbooker attending many scrapbooking weekends. She shared her originality with family and friends by creating personalized cards and notes.
Above all, Angel loved being a mom and was devoted to her children. She also, relished her role as a grandmother. She reveled in all the accomplishments of her children and other family members. Some of Angel's happiest times were on the family farm enjoying the simple pleasures of being with family, catching sunsets. She also enjoyed receiving wild flowers from her beloved husband, Tim, which she referred to as redneck roses.
Angel is survived by her husband Tim Taraila, her parents Tonda and Joe Parks of Dover, her son Joseph Berry, daughter Delainey Grace Taraila, stepson Timothy A. Taraila & his wife Kim, stepdaughter Julia D. Taraila, granddaughters Riley, Nevaeh and Kayla Taraila, her nephew Raymond "Trey" Taraila III, and niece Jamie E. Taraila. She is also survived by brother Frank Parks and his wife, Leigh Ann Spicer-Parks of Seaford, and their children, Hailey Spicer Parks and Zak Parks; her bonus brother Joe Veltri & his wife Eleanor of North Myrtle Beach, SC. Angel is also survived by in laws Greg Taraila, Darlene Hutson, Raymond Taraila and his wife Susan.
Angel was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Emma Spohn of New Castle, DE; Walter and Lois Parks of Rockwood, PA; Raymond Taraila Sr. his wife Pansy R. Taraila; and nephew Jeremy Schultz, all of Hartly. `
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 2-4 p.m. Saturday, October 19 at the home of her parents, Tonda and Joe Parks, affectionately referred to as Shortwood Gardens, at 740 Bicentennial Blvd., Dover, DE 19904. Family and friends are encouraged to stop by for visitation and an informal service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Ronald McDonald House of Delaware, 1901 Rockland Road, Wilmington, DE, 19803, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN, 38101-9929.
