Alvin A. 'Skeet' Campbell, 88
Alvin A. "Skeet" Campbell of Millsboro, formerly of Dagsboro died Sunday, May 13, 2007, in his home in Millsboro surrounded by his loving family. He was 88.
He was a former co-owner of the Clayton Movie Theater in Dagsboro, and later was employed by Delaware Division of Revenue in Georgetown and later Animal Heath Sales of Selbyville.
Mr. Campbell was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Dagsboro.
He enjoyed golfing and supporting Indian River High School sporting events.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie, in 2005; and a sister, Eileen Campbell, in 1999.
He is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Joanne and Charles Bireley and Lucinda and Terry Hearn; three grandchildren, Charles "Chuck" Bireley, Christopher Bireley and Jennifer Evans Spinks; and four great-grandchildren, Ceth, Gage, Coleman and Allyson.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Bethel United Methodist Church, Clayton St., Dagsboro, where friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Burial will be in Prince George's Cemetery, Dagsboro.
Instead of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Bethel United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 147, Dagsboro, DE 19939; or Delaware Hospice Southern Division, 20167 Office Circle, Georgetown, DE 19947.
