FRANKFORD - Alisa Y. Jordan of Frankford passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2006, in Frankford, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was 36.
Miss Jordan was born Aug. 29, 1970, in Salisbury, Md., daughter of Clemon and Willa Jordan.
She was a 1988 graduate of Indian River High School. Following graduation, she attended Delaware State University and Delaware Technical & Community College.
Miss Jordan began her career with the developmentally disabled at the Salvation Army. She then became an employee of Stockley Center for 10 years until her illness forced her to retire. She dedicated her life to helping and supporting others.
She was a member of St. John's Second Baptist Church, Mount Joy, near Millsboro, where she also served as a nurse's aide.
She enjoyed traveling, watching old sitcoms and movies, spending time with family and friends, going to worship service and shopping for trendy handbags.
Miss Jordan loved dogs, especially her beloved companion, "Jackie Russell Jordan."
She is survived by her dear parents, Clemon and Willa Jordan; a brother and a sister-in-law, Andre and Dione Jordan of Berlin, Md.; her extended Norwood family, particularly her sister, Montoya Palmer; five cousins, Gina Reed, Tracey Jarmon Woods, Nichole Smith, Tynill Jarmon Jones and Danielle Pettit; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and relatives.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday in St John's Second Baptist Church, Mount Joy, near Millsboro, where friends may call two hours earlier.
Burial will follow in St. John's Second Baptist Church Cemetery.
