Alicia H. Padilla

SMYRNA - Mrs. Alicia H. Padilla of Smyrna, formerly of Dover, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. She was born March 10, 1924 in Castroville, Texas to the late Urbanio and Emila Hinjosa, one of eleven children. Mrs. Padilla was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover and enjoyed crocheting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Pete Padilla 2007; and her daughter, Juanita, "Janie" Lovegrove in 1998. Mrs. Padilla is survived three sons, Antonio, "Tony" Padilla and his wife Deborah, of Fairborn, Ohio, Andres, "Andy" Padilla, Sr. and his wife Stella, of Clayton, and Ernest Padilla and his wife Debbie, of Dayton, Ohio; daughter, Alicia, "Alice" Kappe and her husband Bernard, "Bernie", of Dover; son-in-law, Clarence Lovegrove of Valrico, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great- great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at noon, Friday, Dec. 15, 2013, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford St. Dover, DE 19904, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time. Interment will be at Sharon Hills Cemetery, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com
