CRYSTAL BEACH/Earleville, MD - Alice Virginia Virdin, 'Ginger' died July 24, 2015 at home surrender by her loving family. Ginger was born on March 19, 1939 in Marcus Hook, PA, daughter of the late Catherine and Wilson Spence, Sr. She was raised in Smyrna working at the Hearth Restaurant for many years as well as the Kitty Knight, Granary and Dock Side Restaurants. Ginger enjoyed working and making friends. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Spence; and a sister, Naomi A. Pritchett. She is survived by her children, William 'Willie' H. Virdin, Jr. and Darlene Virdin Elliott and her husband, Mark; her siblings, Curtis Spence (Diane), William Spence (George), Susan Powell (Sonnie) and Wilson Spence (Sandra); grandchildren, Sherrie Bartsch Walls and Stephanie Mills Virdin; great-grandchildren, Justin Collison, Katylin Collison Schulz and Brianna Walls; and great-great-granddaughter, Lily Ann Schulz. Services will be held privately.
