Alice Naile Seal, 93
Alice Naile Seal, beloved wife, mother, grandmere, great grandmere, and pet owner went home to our Lord on Friday, April 26, 2024.
She was the youngest child, born January 15, 1931, of the late Frederick and Geneva Naile of Norristown, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters (Ernest Naile, Elizabeth Savage, Dorothy Russell, James Naile, Marion Kirchman, Sarah Miller, Mary Bookheimer, and Edward Naile).
Alice is survived by her husband of 72 years, Jack F. Seal. Alice and Jack met in second grade at East Norriton Elementary School, marrying on June 28, 1951 in Norristown, Pennsylvania. They retired in 1992, traveling all over the world and enjoying each other's company. Together, they raised their two children, Stewart J. Seal (married to Paula Edwards Seal) and Robin G. Seal-Whitlock (widow of Phillip K. Whitlock) in a loving home to be independent and thoughtful adults. They were blessed with four grandsons, Christopher B. Seal (Kristin Rosholt) of Laurel, MD, Daniel E. Seal (Casey Greene) of Algonquin, IL, Zeke K. Whitlock (Lindsay Whitlock) of Greensboro, MD, and Cabe K. Whitlock (Ashleigh Frampton) of Marydel, MD and two great-grandchildren, Phillip J. Whitlock and Peyton L. Whitlock. Additionally, Alice loved their dog Tank and cat Bootsie.
Alice was often described as sweet and gentle. It is not uncommon to see Alice and hear the refrain, "I just love her!" She loved music and sang her entire life in church choirs and chorale groups, often as a soloist. She particularly enjoyed Big Band Music and always had music playing in her car or home.
She was loved heart and soul by Jack and her family and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be Monday, May 20th from 10 - 11am at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover, DE with service and interment at 1 pm at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, Delaware.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association at
