Alice Marie Laber, 79
MIDDLETOWN - Alice Marie Laber of Middletown, and formerly of Ridley Park, Pa., passed away peacefully Friday, Aug. 17, 2007, in Regal Heights Health Care, Hockessin, with her loving family by her side. She was 79.
Born in Chester, Pa. on June 22, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Julia (Stropski) Miller.
During the illness of her husband, she moved to Middletown to be closer to her family.
Mrs. Laber was a homemaker who lived her life for her grandchildren and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Lawrence M. Laber Sr. in March of 2001.
Mrs. Laber is survived by two daughters, Kim Polifroni and her husband, Joe of Middletown and Paula O"Dell and her husband, Everett of Snow Camp, N.C.; two sons, Lawrence M. "Larry" Laber Jr. of Newark and Charles "Chuck" Laber and his wife, Sue of Brandenton, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and a great-granddaughter due in October.
Memorial services will be held 8 p.m. on Tuesday in Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, where family and friends may call from 7:30-8 p.m.
Interment will be private.
Memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Laber"s memory to Regal Heights Health Care, c/o Alzheimer"s Unit, 6525 Lancaster Pike, Hockessin, DE 19707.
