MIDDLETOWN - Alice J. Webb, 93, of Middletown, passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2007, surrounded by her family and friends.

Born in Wilmington on July 27, 1913, she was the daughter of the late Florence (Walling) and Morris Hutson.

Mrs. Webb was devoted to her family and entertained them with her wonderful sense of humor. Later in life, she enjoyed spending her days at the MOT Senior Center, where she volunteered her services.

She was an active member of the Claymont Firefighters Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; a brother, Tom Hutson; two sisters, Crete James and Mil Dulin; and a niece, Cheryl Abramowicz.

She is survived and will be sadly missed by her son, Jack, and his wife Charlotte; a daughter-in-law, Marilyn Ransom; her grandchildren, Diane Kingsley and her husband Dave, Jack Webb and his wife Danna, Nicole, Tony, and Kendall Webb; three nieces, Barbara Maloney, Mickey Decino, and Norma Garvey; a nephew, Tom Hutson and his wife Marge; four great-grandchildren, Matthew and Garrett Kingsley and Jack and Corinne Webb; as well as many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday in Gracelawn Memorial Chapel, 2220 N. DuPont Highway, New Castle, where family and friends may call one hour prior to services. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Mrs. Webb"s memory to the MOT Senior Center, 300 S. Scott St., Middletown, DE 19709; or to Delaware Hospice, Inc., 911 S. DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19901.
