Alexander Fountain, 46

SEAFORD - Alexander Fountain of Seaford departed this life on April 24, 2007, in Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, Seaford. He was 46.

He was the son of the late Carlton Albert Fountain Sr. and Eunice Mae Fountain and was born May 14, 1960, in Seaford.

He received his formal education in the Seaford Public School District and ran cross country track as an extra curricular activity.

Alex loved playing the guitar and singing church hymnals. A favorite hymnal was a song he wrote "I Never Forget My Jesus."

During moments of relaxation, he enjoyed reading the Bible.

Alex attended Fellowship Health Resources, Bridgeville to be with friends.

He enjoyed sports and was a dedicated fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

Alex began his spiritual experience by attending John Wesley United Methodist Church, Seaford and attended St. Mary Holiness Church, Georgetown later in life.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandmother, Evelyn Stewart; and his eldest sister, Kay Fountain.

He is survived by five brothers, Douglas Fountain of Seaford, Carlton Fountain Jr. of New Jersey, David Fountain and his wife, Barbara, Lorenzo Williams and his wife, Barbara, all of Seaford and Anthony Fountain of Wilmington; five sisters, Elizabeth Newcomb and her husband, Thomas, Ethel Amisial, Viola Banks and her husband, Carlton, and Elsie Fountain, all of Seaford and Cynthia McCoy of Wilmington; his mother-in-Christ, Johnnie Mae White of Seaford; and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. today in Refuge Temple Revival Center, 455 N. Front St. in Seaford, where friends may call three hours prior to the service.

Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Concord.
