WILMINGTON - Albertina Marie Hopkins Goodman, Wilmington, departed this life on Friday, Feb. 22, 2008, in the Christiana Care Hospital, Christiana. She was 36.
She was born Sept. 20, 1971, to Mr. Albert W. Hopkins Sr. and Olivia Tillman. She was the second born child of their four children.
Tina graduated from Woodbridge High School in Bridgeville, and attended the University of Delaware.
She graduated from CITE Secretarial School and was currently completing her associate's degree in business administration at Wesley College.
Tina had many talents including home decorating, cooking and gardening; however, nothing compared to the caring spirit she shared with family and friends.
She always had an ear to lend and a shoulder to lean on.
Tina was employed full-time at Columbus Property Management for 14 years.
She started as a receptionist and worked her way up to Mainstream Section Eight leasing manager, after receiving her real estate license.
Tina also spent time helping people with their home projects as a sales clerk at Home Depot.
Tina leaves to cherish her beloved memory, her husband Robert Goodman of Philadelphia; daughters, Tiana and Robyn, both of Wilmington; two step-children, Rasheed and Tanika, of Philadelphia; parents, Albert Hopkins, Sr. of Greenwood, and Olivia Tillman of Philadelphia; two sisters, Michelle Hopkins of Wilmington, and Antoinette Ellingsworth and her husband Charles of Dover; brothers, Albert, Jr. of San Antonio and Dwayne of Wilmington; two godchildren, Simone Anderson of Atlanta and Katera Ellingsworth of Dover; and a host of sisters-in-laws, brothers-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. today in the Bennie Smith Funeral Home, 717 W. Division St., Dover.
Funeral services were held Friday in the Williams Chapel Church, Bridgeville.
Interment was in the Middleford Cemetery, Concord.
Arrangements are being handled by Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Dover.
