Albert Pendracky

SMYRNA - Albert Pendracky, age 95, of Smyrna, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 1, 2014. He was born on April 14, 1919 in Raccoon, Pa., the son of the late Albert and Julia (Kissel) Pendracky. He was a WWII veteran serving with the 57th FCS, 67th WG, 8th AF as a Mission Plotter. He retired honorably after 25 years of service from the USAF. Mr. Pendracky worked for ILC in Dover, and Leeds Travelwear of Clayton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Arvilla "Madeline" B. Pendracky, who passed in April of 2014. He is survived by his dedicated caregiver, son Timothy; his daughter, Lynne; his loving granddaughters, Kathleen and Margery; his sister, Anna; his sister-in-law, Marion; his brother-in-law Elmer; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families. A private family service will be held at Faries Funeral Home in Smyrna. Interment with full military honors will be in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethesda United Methodist Church, 116 E. Main St., Middletown, DE 19709 or to Season's Hospice, 220 Continental Dr, Suite 101, Newark, DE 19713.
