BRIDGEVILLE - Ahsya Renee "Sya" Gehman died Wednesday, Sept 7, 2016 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital, in Seaford. She was a very loving, happy girl, who wanted to be around her friends and family especially her brothers. Sya loved to be silly and play jokes on others and would also laugh at a good joke played on her. She was very much a girly girl, wanting her nail polish and playing with her dolls. Sya loved music, swimming, the colors pink and purple, riding on the tractor with her dad, baking and going shopping with her mom. Sya was in the second grade at the Greenwood Mennonite School, and attended the Greenwood Mennonite Church. She is survived by her parents, Brad and Toni Gehman, of Bridgeville; three brothers, Anthony (Whitney) Gehman and their son, Ezekiel, Caleb, and Riley; maternal grandmother, Shirley Bryfogle, of Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Bob and Edith Gehman, of Bridgeville; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Robert Bryfogle. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenwood Mennonite School, where friends may call 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A viewing will also be held on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Greenwood Mennonite Church. Interment will be held at the Greenwood Mennonite Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart of Hope, The Caralynn Titter Foundation, PO Box 428, West Grove, PA 19390.
