GEORGETOWN - Agnes K. Melson, of Georgetown, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 23, 2009, at her home. She was 86. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Moore of Georgetown; a granddaughter, Sherry Littleton and her husband Wayne of Frankford; a grandson, Jerry Moore of Rehoboth; two great-grandchildren, Nicole Earhart of Frankford and Tommy Moore of Georgetown; a sister, Pauline Powell of Selbyville; neighbors, Delmar and Michelle Cathell of Georgetown; and several nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, at the Frankford chapel of Melson Funeral Services, Frankford, where friends and family may call noon. Burial will be at St. George's Cemetery in Clarksville. In lieu of flowers, to defray the funeral expenses the family suggests memorial contributions in Agnes' name to Melson Funeral Services, P.O. Box 100, Frankford, DE 19945.
