Addie Crewe, 76

CENTREVILLE, Md. - Addie Crewe of Centerville died Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2007, in her son's home. She was 76.

Mrs. Crewe was born in McColl, S.C., daughter of the late David and Ella McKenzie.

She was a homemaker. Along with her husband, she raised many foster children, as well as her own.

Mrs. Crewe was a member of the Bridgeville (Del.) Church of God for about 15 years and a member of the Maxwell House Senior Citizens Club, and recently had been attending the Centreville Church of God.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas R. Crewe; a sister, Ruth Hockensmith; and a brother, Charles McKenzie.

She is survived by a son, Thomas P. Crewe of Centreville; a daughter, Stephanie A. Crewe of Harrington, Del.; two sisters, Faye Sanders of Laurel Hill, N.C., and Cecile Hoake of Conway, S.C.; and three grandchildren, Kristen Crewe, Cheyenne Crewe and Christopher Crewe.

Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today in Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. Du Pont Highway, Harrington.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Harrington.
