"Baby Girl", 2 Aaliyah Marie, "Baby Girl", 2, was granted her angel wings on Sept. 03, 2014. Please help us to remember this precious little girl. She was born on July 31, 2012 in Seaford, survived by her loving parents John and Christine Whaley. Aaliyah's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. With Aaliyah's passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her every day, especially her loving smiles. She will forever remain in our hearts. Through her teachings of life, we were able to create wonderful memories and it has been a privilege to be her parents. Aaliyah loved many outdoor activities including jumping on the trampoline, riding in her car, helping do yard work, driving the tractor, riding horses, fishing and she especially loved to get dirty. She also liked Hello Kitty, Dora and Who Who Owls. She loved books and her favorite movie was Lilo and Stitch. She loved to have pillow fights, to be tickled and actually have the chance to tickle someone back. She had a contagious laugh, even when she was being ornery, a wonderful smile, beautiful blonde curly hair and a personality that was one of her own. She is survived by her loving parents John and Christine Whaley of Bridgeville; four brothers, Joshua Whaley, Timothy Whaley, Daniel Whaley, Kyler Moore; one sister, Megan Whaley; two great-grandmothers, Betty Ellison and Lois Conner; grandmother, Jane Morgan; two grandfathers, John Jones and William G. Conner; a great-uncle and aunt, John and Mary Mayne; two uncles, Michael Conner and John Conner, wife Victoria and daughter Liliana. She also leaves behind her horse Boo. She is joined in Heaven by several family members. Carmel Whaley, Belle & Henry Berg, Albert Morgan, William T. Conner, Leonard & Jean Wittenberg, David Hook, Nowland Ellison, John and Christine Reed and many other four-legged family members. A celebration of Aaliyah's life was held at Parsell Funeral Homes in Bridgeville and services were kept private.
