Speak Up: On the road again?

Posted

Cooler temperatures and riptides at the beaches were on tap for Memorial Day weekend’s unofficial start to summer, and traffic increased along the state’s roads and in the resort areas. Congestion has been reported countless times in beach communities, with everyone jostling for space on the major highways and backroad byways. What’s your hack for dealing with summer traffic in Delaware’s coastal areas?

  • Going before Memorial Day and after Labor Day is a good plan. — Delaware Shoppes
  • Stay home, outside the traffic. — Peggy West
  • Don’t go. Don’t need the aggravation. Hate crowds. — Diane Marks
  • We stay home. I have honored all veterans past and still here with memorial flags at Milford’s memorial park.
