Sipple: How do U.S. senators achieve their wealth?

Posted

Mr. Peter Graffagnino raises a good point about politicians receiving money from the National Rifle Association and other groups for helping them to push their agenda, even if it’s contrary to what the people of America want (“What role does money play in mass shootings?” Nov. 3).

They all do it. I would love to see a list of all senators’ worth when they came into office and their worth after a short time in office. I believe the starting yearly wage is around $176,000 a year. They all seem to be pretty wealthy. One of our senator’s net worth in 2018 was $5,726,595. I would love to see the list and how they achieved their wealth.
