HARBESON — A 28-year-old Seaford man died after being struck by two vehicles in a hit-and-run crash Friday, Delaware State Police said.
Police said that at approximately 2:18 a.m., a silver car was driving northbound on Harbeson Road north of Lewes-Georgetown Highway. At the same time, for reasons under investigation, a pedestrian was in the northbound lane of Harbeson Road, police said.
The pedestrian was hit by the silver car. A short time later, a smaller white SUV also driving northbound, also hit the pedestrian. Both vehicles left the scene, police said.
The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he died.
On Saturday, police identified the victim as Matthew Rosas.
As of Friday, police said, surveillance video and images of the vehicles were not available.
Harbeson Road was closed for approximately four hours while investigators examined the scene and cleared the roadway.
