Milford senior awarded Dr. C. Edward Graybeal scholarship
DOVER — The CenDel Foundation announces Milford High School senior Sofia Lopez the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship recipient.
Ms. Lopez was awarded a $20,000 scholarship through the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal fund. The funds will be distributed over four years.
“Being awarded the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal scholarship represents and acknowledges my hard work throughout high school and my potential in college. I can pursue my future educational and career goals freely,” said Ms. Lopez.
The late Dr. Graybeal understood the value of financial aid and established the Dr. C. Edward Graybeal Scholarship Fund to grant scholarships to Milford High School seniors pursuing higher education.
The CenDel Foundation is committed to helping people transform the community through charitable giving. Since 2008, the Foundation has distributed more than $4 million in grants and funding to several organizations in Central Delaware, improving the lives of those living in Kent County.
