Hollisters: Lewes Royal Farms proposal contrary to public interest

Posted

We vehemently oppose the proposed Royal Farms gas station, convenience store and carwash at the corner of Del. 24 and Angola Road.

The proposal would adversely impact traffic and access for school buses and emergency services for local residents. Further, the proposal would severely impact drinking water for 23 local communities and the water quality of the inland bays, including Rehoboth Bay.

Local residents already have access to gas stations, carwashes, groceries and convenience stores all along Del. 24 in Lewes, Long Neck and Millsboro. We do not need another Royal Farms to clog our waterways and roads.
