Dover man arrested on drug charges at Super 8 Motel

DOVER — A 33-year-old Dover man was arrested on drug charges following an administrative search Monday, authorities said.

Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said officers assisted Delaware Probation and Parole with a drug investigation which resulted in an administrative search of a room at the Super 8 Motel associated with Jamal Dunson at 2 p.m.

Mr. Dunson was taken into custody without incident, and a search of the motel room at 348 N. DuPont Highway resulted in 25.5 grams of crack cocaine and $628 being located, police said.

Mr. Dunson was charged with possession offenses including with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity, controlled substance in a Tier 3 quantity and drug paraphernalia. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $120,000 cash bail.
