Delmarva Christian Schools launch safety measures

Posted

Delmarva Christian Schools, with campuses in Milton and Georgetown, recently announced advancements to ensure the security of students, faculty and staff.

After a thorough evaluation of safety protocols, the following changes have been made:

  • Hiring of constables. Delmarva Christian Schools have appointed constables with over 30 years of security and law enforcement experience and stationed them on-site. These trained professionals will play an instrumental role in maintaining a safe environment and responding swiftly to any potential concern.
  • Installation of window film by Shore Tint & More. The schools have partnered with Shore Tint, a provider of safety and security screening solutions, to fortify their windows. This technology will serve as an additional layer of protection, reinforcing the structural integrity of windows and mitigating potential hazards.
  • Strengthening staff training. Recognizing that every employee plays a role in keeping a secure environment, the school system has intensified safety training for staff members. This includes preparing them to respond efficiently to emergencies and adopting best practices in safeguarding their students and colleagues.
