CAMDEN — A 36-year-old Camden man was charged with felony assault, following an altercation with his roommate Monday.
According to Delaware State Police, at approximately 5:25 p.m., troopers responded to a residence in the 200 block of Allabands Mill Road and made contact with an injured 19-year-old man nearby.
Police determined that the man and his roommate, Justin Watson, had a physical incident over internet access, which led Mr. Watson to attack the roommate with a box cutter. Troopers contacted Mr. Watson at the residence, and he was taken into custody without further incident.
Police said the injured man was treated at a local hospital for serious injuries and released.
Mr. Watson was charged with second-degree assault and possession of a deadly weapon during the commission of a felony. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on a $14,000 secured bond.
