Bayhealth honors foundation board members for years of service

DOVER — The Bayhealth Foundation has announced that Cassandra Humphrey-Jenkins and Louie Phillips, who have served on its board since 2015, have completed their years of service.

Ms. Humphrey-Jenkins, a physician liaison at Bayhealth, has been an integral part of the group’s success, said foundation president Lindsay A. Rhodenbaugh. Her expertise have greatly influenced the organization’s strategic initiatives.

Ms. Phillips, the board’s secretary and retired senior director of the cardiovascular service line at Bayhealth, has also played a crucial role in advancing the foundation’s mission.

One of the highlights of their tenure was their involvement in the foundation’s golf tournaments, Mr. Rhodenbaugh said. Their commitment to these events helped raise significant funds to fight breast cancer and support Bayhealth’s Cancer Institute.

Additionally, both were instrumental in the campaign to open Bayhealth Hospital, Sussex Campus in Milford in 2019.

“Cassandra and Louie, both Bayhealth team members when they began their service on the Bayhealth Foundation board, have brought unique, valuable perspectives to our work,” said Mr. Rhodenbaugh. “They have the sincere thanks and admiration of everyone on the Bayhealth Foundation board for their nine years of exemplary service.”
